Chand Baori or Abhaneri Step Well is a stepwell located in the Abhaneri village near Jaipur which is a
favored tourist destination. The stepwell at Abhaneri is popular as the most photogenic stepwells of the
world.
Chand Baori at Abhaneri gives tourists a mesmerizing experience as this oldest living stepwell in India
boasts over 3,500 narrow steps with a 13 stories structure. The architecture, sculptures, temples, and
legends of the place will teleport you to a time hundreds of years ago when the royals ruled the state.
The beauty of Abhaneri Step Well lies in its history, as the stepwell has been in existence since the 8th
Century. The step is functional but not up to its total limits. A famous temple known as Harshat Mata
Mandir is located about 100 meters west of Chand Baori with a dome roof. It is believed that Harshat Mata
is the goddess of happiness and Joy.
Our driver will meet you at your place and take you to Bhangarh Fort, a 90 kms / 2 Hours drive from Jaipur. We spend 3-4 hours at Bhangarh Fort to take pictures of the Fort, Temples & Hills around the Fort.
1400 Hours :After lunch on the highway, you will be transferred to visit Abhaneri Stepwell, also known as Chand Baori.
1630 Hours :On the way back to Jaipur, you can also make a stop to see the colourful villages of Rajasthan.
